Foreword

This Play is an effort to kindle the empathetic aspect of human mind through "speaking animals", who narrate their plight in the hands of insensitive humans.

The book is meant to sensitize the readers regarding the most commonly occurring cruelties to animals. It also tries to give a few references to the existing Animal Protection Rules in the foot note at relevant scenes, with the hope that readers will want to know more about the lawful ways to help the animals in distress.

Illustrations are provided to make the reading more effective and interesting for young readers. It will also interest adults. The language is simple and colloquial which helps to understand the reality of the situations.

An attempt has been made to answer the most frequently asked questions and also a few suggestions are provided at the end of the play to help people lead a harmonious life with other living beings on this Earth.

Hope the book will be welcomed and helping animals will become the motto in everyone's life, if not so till now.
